A friend let me listen to the album 'Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes' by a punk band named Propagandhi. Its really fast, hard, and sometimes thrashy that I really enjoyed, even though I really don't like much punk. The vocalist is good, the guitarist rips an occaisional solo, the bass shine on some occaisional soft parts, and the drummer's awesome! Raw production, so the guitar was sometimes just a background buzzing.

They also have done a lot of research involving politics and have spoken out on these issues more on this album than SOAD has. Some great quotes in the album sleeve! If you want to check them out download 'Back to The Motorleague', or my fav on the album, 'Purina Hall of Fame'.

They are like NOFX and Bad Religion I guess. But I didn't like those bands very much, but I am suprised I like these guys! For thrashier punk try 'F*** the Border' or the title track.
