Ok, so I'm having issues with constant pop-ups on my computer. I'm using Internet Explorer (yes I know firefox is better, just my dad is super-conservative). So I'm getting tons of pop-ups, even though my pop-up blocker is turned on, on High.
Now, as well as these pop-ups, I'm getting constant messages from my virus scan program, Norton (once again, my dads conservative, won't try anything else)
These messages either inform me that its blocked either 'Trojan.Vundo', or 'Trojan.LowZones' 'as a security risk'. Thing is, its only blocking the virus, not getting rid of it, and it keeps coming back. Only once has it given me the choice to get rid of the virus, which I did, but it just came back. Full system scans don't detect it either, so I'm kinda stumped as to what else I can do.

    So yea, little help please?

Hmmm, I tried using Symantecs FixVundo application, and it didn't see to do anything. But now I haven't had a po-up the whole time I've been on the computer. Odd.

Thanks Neil, I'll take your advice if it starts up again, sorry to kinda waste your time.

Is your computer also a century old, just because your dad's so conservative?

Spybot: Search & Destroy, is also rather useful, in combination with AdAware, as Neil suggested.

Ah Tomi, thanks heaps! I totally forgot I had that program already on my computer, it seems to have fixed things up XD
I'm gonna run the Ad-ware Neil suggested, just to be safe though.

    Thanks the both of you.

Oh and no, my computer is fairly up-to-date, thank god. My internet connection on the other hand a bit embarassing... lol

Hah, perfect. Usually Spybot does wonders for me when I have to fix a pop-up infested computer. Popups usually are more spyware/adware hence a virus scanner not being all that useful at times. You would think the virus scanner would be multipurpose. At least for my experiences. =\

    Your internet connection is..? XD

Yea well, we all know that all big name Virus scanners are nothing short of rip-offs, so yea.

Ah, its 256/56K I think. Company called Unwired, who I don't think are international or anything.
Only 2GB of downloads, its a nightmare considering how much I use the computer.

    *cringe*

I feel *really* sorry for you now. I almost feel bad for wanting a faster connection than my 3/1mb connection, with a 60gb cap. >_<

We've got 7/1, but I can usually pull over 1MB/s off Microsoft and other big name FTPs
