Yeah that's what I thought too. Even if that one isn't real, I'm sure that in some time period, a lion mated with a tiger. Think about it.
They are real, just not numerous because they are inable to reproduce. How do I know this? I'm a effin genius, that's how, bitch.
Yeah I've seen it on the Discovery Channel. They're all sterile. And in my opinion, they're quite ugly.
They also have Tigons. They look like tigers with lions face but without the mane. If a Tigon breeds with another Tiger it's called a Ti-tigon. No joke. They actually have had some born (ligers and tigons) that aren't sterile.
For those who want picture proof... Liger Cubs Teenage Liger They are seriously big cats. Normal lions and tigers can be anywhere from 400-600 pounds. Most ligers are twice that. They are very prone to gigantism. No photoshop tricks here. Full Grown Full Grown 2 Yeah. Huge. Male Liger (Has Mane) This picture shows a lion, a tiger, a ligon, and a liger. Very good picture for comparison. All Four Animals Mating Ligers = Female tigers + Male lions. Tigons= Males tiger + Female Lioness. Li-liger= Lion +Liger Li-tigon= Lion + Tigon Ti-liger= Tiger +Liger Ti-tigon= Tiger +Tigon Yes. I'm a nerd.
There's a picture right in the first post at the link. :wth: [/b][/quote] Yeah, now I see. My computer is just too slow. Anyway, Ligers are cool B)
