Well, what do you need help with? This could be a little public-help-me-with-IPB thread .

Hosting you will have covered, when I give you the word (hopefully :chemist:). Hosting... I'm sure there are some free services with PHP out there, somewhere :wth:.

I think you can download the zip from Invision's site (invisionpower.com).

You upload everything in the "upload" folder to your server. Once that's uploaded, you need a database where you're going to have the forum. You usually have to make one on your server. Once that's done, you just have to run the install page, install it, and it should be good to go. Basically, everything you need to know comes with the pack.

I need help with the templates. I'm used to the Vbulletin system so I find this new one really wierd. I'm not sure where to go to edit the colors for the links, or all of that. Also where do I edit the bottom? It's all stuff like that: WHERE.

Mind me, I am a bit rusty on skinning.. I haven't skinned a forum for awhile.

To edit the template of the forums:
In the admin panel, it should have on the side menu, something to do with the templates. You have to edit the CSS, hoping you know CSS, and it's under "Style Sheet". I can try to help you with what everything does on the style sheet, for I have tried to memorize it . A good idea is to make a complete new set, and then test it before you do anything after that to make sure it's what you want.

It's tough at first, but you'll get used to it :D.

It was tough for me, because I was learning v1.1's style sheet, and then as soon as I memorized that one, 1.2 came out and confused me all over again .

I prefer IPB to all BB. It's so easy and loads so quick. Real treasure for 56k.

Somewhat, but not that much :D . It depends of the size of the graphics and all the mods installed on the forum.

Why did you switch to ib? I personally think that vb is better, its not as confusing anyway.
