Alright, I have a question about Fake Sound of Progress. I've seen two versions of the album. What is the difference between the two albums cause I downloaded the songs and I'm not sure which version any of them are from.

i believe they released on version on their own
and they re-released it on a label..and some tracks were mixed into one.

    Or something like that.

Dont know if i'm right though

The original was recorded and produced by them as a demo for labels and then they later re-released the cd as a remixed and remastered cd for the public.

    Hope that helped.

You may also have seen the different versions for different areas around the world -- ie. a different European album than a different American album. Sometimes European versions have more tracks. I'm pretty sure that FSOP had something like this.

But, the posts above are probably right -- it's probably the independent one VS the big label one :)

The Lostprophets recorded thefakesoundofprogress in 2000. In 2002, they were signed and their label re-mastered, re-mixed and re-released the album with a condensed track list. And what I mean by that is simple: They made the interludes part of the tracks like they are on Start Something.
