I'm kind of fixated on Failure at the moment. They're a no-longer-in-existence-mid-90s-alternative-rock group. They were featured in the Alternative Press, and their album Fantastic Planet is one of the best discs I've ever listened to. Has anyone else ever heard of them? If so, any opinions? And have you ever been able to find their first two albums?
I only know one song by them and it's the cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence". I think it was from some soundtrack though. I still have that song and listen to it once in a while. Awesome song. Do you recommend any others?
"Stuck On You" "Pitiful" "Saturday Saviour" "Daylight" "Blank" and a bunch of others. Anything, really. I have yet to find a song by them that I don't like. And what soundtrack is their cover of "Enjoy the Silence" from? I'm a fan of Depeche Mode as well...
Oh wait, it wasn't on a soundtrack. It's on a tribute album to Depeche Mode called "For the Masses". It came out in 1998.
No, there isn't any particular website. I've picked up random bits here and there, and the bio on Launch is okay, but the fact that they're no longer a band doesn't help any.
I like what I've heard of them, they did the original version of "The Nurse Who Loved Me", covered by A Perfect Circle on Thirteenth Step. Some members of Failure have performed it live with APC. Ken Andrews is now in another band called Year Of The Rabbit.
