I know there has been plenty of contraversy about the band but I didn't see a forum of this so here it is. Who likes Evanescence in here? I bought the album over the summer of 2003 and listened to it a little and then put it away for a while. Did the same thing a couple months after that. Now I took it out and listened to many of the songs and I really like it. I like the blend of emotional lyrics, piano, strings, and the rock vibe on every song. I've seen the video of My Immortal 4 times in the last couple days on MTV.
Evanescence is okay to me, I like Amy Lee's voice but it bothers me how they only focus attention on HER and her only. The band is called Evanescence not 'Amy Lee'. It goes for everyone else in the band too ya know. I wish they would credit the other guys more often.
The rest of the band doesn't want the spotlight. They've already said that when there was an interview with the whole band. They don't like the spotlight so they let Amy Lee handle everything.
and the other 20%?
THEY CAN BURN! BAHAHA-- I mean, what? I don't have a flamethrower behind my back..

Evanescence is awesome. But I think Amy Lee has some Attitude problems but whatever, I still think she's hot. Do you guys know that Everybody's Fool is the next single?
I love Evanescence. One of my favourite bands at the moment. I was listening to it on full blast this afternoon and downloaded some tracks earlier. Great band IMO
i personally think ben is stupid, i still cant beleive he left them for avril im never going to sell more records than my last one lavigne, he is joining a lost cause, she (avril) is on her downfall already, just my opinion by the way
Exactly what attitude problems are you talking about? And, yeah, I did know that "Everybody's Fool" is the next single.

Yup
I don't see how that has to do with her attitude. She was just misinformed when she made those comments. It had nothing to do with attitude.

Hmm. I thought it was going to be Imaginary. Oh well. Everybody's Fool is still a good song.
Yeah, that's what I thought too. Amy even said if they did have a fourth single, she hoped it would be Imaginary because of its various sounds (or something like that). I wonder what made her change my mind. Although Everybody's Fool is a good song, I did hope for Haunted instead. About the attitude thing, I agree with Will. Amy was just misinformed and said it out without any total confirmation. People did find her apology fake though since she did it so soon and they thought Wind Up probably told her to, but I don't believe that.

Wind-Up claims they let their bands do what they want but they don't. The band wanted "Imaginary" but the label wanted "Everybody's Fool." Evanescence had no choice. It's just like with "My Immortal." The version that's on Fallen is the demo from Origin with strings on it. Evanescence actually tracked the "band version" when they were recording Fallen, but the label made them put the demo on it instead. I have no idea why they actually released the band version as the single, though.
