My friend is having a major computer problem. I'm gonna take a look at it tonight but I'd like to see if you guys could help me out. He turned his computer on the other day and nothing happened. Nothing displayed on the monitor, no fans moved, nothing. His computer is custom designed with a clear case so I took a look and nothing looked out of place or unhooked. I unplugged it, left it like that for a while and plugged it back in. When I pushed the power button his neon blue lights flashed and that was it. Nothing else happened. He's only had this computer for about 3 months and it's worked fine until now. Any ideas on what it could be? could it be the power supply? ram?

Yep, I agree Neil, I'd say the power supply's toast.

And this kids, is why we never buy generic power supplies.

(I'll admit it...I'm a cheap bastard and I go for the generic 30$ 450 watts all the time... :p)
