Just figured it deserves its own topic...

Doesn't sound like Guns at all, IMO. Not sure if it's good or bad yet. I'm leaning toward bad.

 

He's mixed these tracks so much that they've been ruined. The first leaked version back in 2006 or whatever of "There Was A Time" was superb. This version shows how old Axl really is, and how is voice can't hold a candle to the old stuff (even though I don't really like GnR).

That's the only song I've ever really liked by them anyway.

 

I've actually never heard one of the leaked songs.

 

There definitely pretty strange. Seems like he's done quite a bit too em over the last billion years.

They definitely don't sound like Guns n Roses either. Nothing real bluesy.

But i didn't think they were that bad.

 

I've decided I only like "Better."

And, yes, the earlier leaked versions were far... better. lol

 

They suck pretty hard live these days.

 

The title track isn't too shabby. I thought Better was awful, I.R.S. still sounds basically the same, and Madagascar is just an excuse for movie quotes. That's as far as I got before I switched it to the new Three 6 Mafia album.

 

Not worth the ridiculously long wait and it really doesn't sound like Guns N' Roses but nevertheless it's a pretty amazing album.
