    This might not be a real answer, but Brad once said that he the headphones help him get in the matrix or zone or something like that. :lol:

    He wears them so he can control the volume of background noise and focus more on what he's playing.

    His headphones tell him which notes to strike next because sometimes he doesn't remember.

    This is really stupid but I remember reading it somewhere that he talks to his inner self that way and it helps him focus on the notes and he feels this way his talent won't be let it.
    I told you it's stupid :lol: :lol:

    i remember that he said that in the dvd thing... yea he said something about some kind of matrix thing that his headphones help him enter...or something like that

    He wants to stay in the matrix...meaning he wants to concentrate on what he's doing more. Simple as that. Well...plus the decorations on it are pretty cool.

    Most likely one of the following reasons:

    1) Something to do with listening to the other instruments through the headphones so he knows exactly where he is because at a concert, the sound bounces off the back walls of the arena and comes back a few seconds later. This may keep him from falling behind.

    2) The headphones block out excess noise, and the noise of the rest of the band makes, so he can concentrate on what he is playing.

    3) He just likes to wear headphones. Everyone has something that makes them unique, this may be something Brad simply likes to do

    Not really that crazy. I see Brad mouthing things all the time on stage. Its probably so he can hear just his guitar and nothing else. He probably has trouble focusing otherwise.
