BitTornado + Routers

    As most of you who use Bittorrent already know, if you have a router, you should forward ports 6881-6889.

    I just realised that if you use BitTornado, that it doesn't use those traditional ports, so forwarding those ports won't help as much.

    Look in your preferences, top right corner. You'll see the port range, default being 10000-60000. You've got 2 options, either change it to 6881-6889 [note: some isps block these ports, actually] or change your router settings to forward those ports.


    Just thought I might let you guys know, as I didn't realise this just a few minutes ago, hah.

    Yeah, with Bittorrent, its best to not use default ports. Some ISPs block them, and some trackers block them. The higher the number, the better. Mine's somewhere around 49000
