So here we go, a batman movie that looks great, and I do mean great. They are starting over with a totally new franchise, this is not a sequel, or prequel, it is a new start! the cast looks incredible, with Liam Nielson as the sophisticated bad guy Ra Al Gaul, and Christian Bale as Batman himself [would have picked him myself!!] and not to mention Morgan freeman is in it, now if the script attracted talent like that, you know it's not some dumb hyped up mindless action flick. I read plot reviews, with some spoilers but not many that praised this film for having great characters and deep moving plot. Although it starts off slowly, you don’t even see Bats in the suit till 2/3's of the way into it, that doesn’t bother me a bit, because once he appears, they say it's freakishly awesome action after that. Here is up-to-date info on the film, with full cast listed, and the script review that I mentioned! BATMAN! Now I can't be more excited about the way this film is turning out, batman is by far my favorite superhero, and man, cant wait for a movie that will due him justice! My favorite bat movies listed below 1. Batman 2. Batman Forever 3. Batman Returns 4. Batman and Robin [tv show movie] 5. Batman and Robin [crap happy movie with mr. freeze]
Yeah, it turns out he's not playing Ra at all. Liam Neeson is actually going to be playing some guy named Henri Ducard, a mentor to Bruce Wayne apparently. Source: http://www.countingdown.com/movies/1358/ne...item_id=3371327
"02/20/04 Wrong. Liam Neeson will not play Ra's al Ghul. He'll play Ducard, Bruce Wayne's mentor. Variety misreported the actor's role. (Film Force)"
Okay, this was just announced today. Ken Watanabe from The Last Samurai has apparently been confirmed to play the villain Ra's Al Ghul. From what I remember from the 90's cartoon series, I don't think he was an Asian guy but I guess they're changing that. As long as he can do the character justice, I don't mind. Has anyone seen The Last Samurai here? How's his English anyway? Source: MTV
yer me and my m8 were talking about this lastnite and saying that they may produce something cool, since the last batman was utter dog poo that had been stood by a fat man, but anyway, cant wait to see the result
yeah, Batman and Robin wasn't even starring the actor who played Batman (George Clooney) but was starring Arnold Schwarznegger instead. Arnold got top billing over George Clooney. Oh well, it wasn't a good movie and I think George Clooney made a public apology for doing that movie.

lol Pretty old news man but I cant wait for this movie
considering this is an old thread! click the BATMAN in the topic to get upt-to-date info
Yeah, apparently this movie is now called "Batman Begins". I'm not so sure if I like this title. Source: CountingDown
That was one of the three names they've picked at the start and i hate it but at least it makes sence with the movie.
Yeah, "Batman: Year One" sounded a lot better even though that was a completely different storyline.
well they cant use that, since it's not actually "Batman: Year One" so this title is fine, i dont care
Also, it's been announced that Gary Oldman will now be taking on the role of Commissioner James Gordon. A lot of big actors now, so I'm getting a bit worried.
