Alter Bridge now have three sample tracks from their upcoming album One Day Remains on their official website http://www.alterbridge.com. The sampled tracks include Find The Real, One Day Remains and current single Open Your Eyes. The new album will be released through Wind-Up on 08/10/04.
when i first heard Open Your Eyes I thought they sounded too much like creed. Now that i've heard the song again a couple times and listened to those other clips I've changed my mind, Alter Bridge>Creed
The vocalist's voice sounds a lot like Scott Weiland to me...I dont really like Alter Bridge from these samples...mainly because his voice is annoying me but the instrumentals arent half bad.
I liked Creed for only one reason: Mark Tremonti. He is one of my guitar idols and Im glad hes still in a band. I listened to the songs and I love them. I really cant wait for this cd, itll be great!
I'm not at all into this band. I didn't like the clips of the songs they had on their site that much. ...Not my type of music. :wth: They're not that bad.. for the people that like them though.
I'm looking forward to the Alter Bridge album although i don't want to listen to the album via VH1, it will ruin it for when i get the CD in my opinion. Has anyone listened to the album at http://www.vh1.com yet? If so, how is it?
I personally think it is very good, and will be buying it the day it comes out. A brief non-spoiler description....... The good is, the guitarist is amazing, as he was in Creed, I think he has improved and so has the drummer, the music to the songs are very impressive. The lyrics are good as well, although they do use and overly-used metaphor "Broken Wings" [even Britney Spears uses it!] for the most part lyrics are solid, but not as good as Creed. The bad is, the vocalist, although strong in most parts, seem to whine a little too much, not like a punk band, i.e.: GC or Simple Plan, but more like crying. In some places where the singer could scream, the backup guitar and drums practically beg him too with their heaviness, he doesn’t, and it’s a little let down. Overall I believe it is a good first album, and look foward to their next effort.
I listened to part of it, i dont like it at all. Of course I didnt like Creed at all either and to me, this isnt too far off from Creed.
