I havent listened to much of his other stuff yet I saw The Slip was for free, so I downloaded it . . .
I wasn't really into the whole Industrial Rock scene before, and hearing some Nine Inch Nails songs on the radio hasn't really impressed me much. But I'm looking forward to expanding.
His singles don't represent what he's capable of very well. I was the same way about 2 years ago. I'd hear his music on the radio occasionally, like Starfuckers Inc. or Closer, and I'd wonder how people like this guy. I consider both of those songs to be some of his worst, actually. But I just started listening to his albums all the way through and was blown away by the stuff he can pull off. He's been my favorite person in existence ever since.
Haha nice. I'm giving Year Zero a listen to right now. It's pretty good, but I'll have to give it a few more listens.
I got Satch's "Super Colossal" yesterday, along with Opeths new live box set which is fucking awesome. Should be getting Orchid tomorrow.
Last album(s) I got. Srsly. Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone and Metallica's Death Magnetic. Hahaha. I'm lame
All Hope Is Gone is understandable, Death Magnetic, not so much -------------------------Bumpthreadandavoidingdoublepostatthesametime------------------------------ Just got Year Zero in the mail this morning
Last albums I got. Downloaded Reach by Eyes Set To Kill. All of it. Also I downloaded Illuminaudio by Chiodos off iTunes
Finger Eleven - Life Turns Electric (2010) If there is one song off of the album that epitomizes what this album is all about, it's 'Ordinary Life'. The band come off as complacent with this outing. Too bad the overall experience with the album is bland. There is nothing new here; just a handful of underwhelming radio friendly tracks. 'Living In A Dream' is a blatant attempt at recreating their hit single 'Paralyzer' (2008). It seems as though the band has grown tired of the edge they once held, and are putting out music for the sake of doing so. In comparison to their previous efforts, 'Life Turns Electric' (2010) is a very weak album. Perhaps the band has got nothing else left to prove. The edge is gone, and 'Life Turns Electric' is but a generic romp. If you've never heard of the band, give their older work a check. The first three albums are good stuff. Rating: 2.5 / 5
A7X "Nightmare" and Disturbed "Asylum" for my girl :3 For me, I'm going to find Adelitas Way's self-titled album.
