I know a lot of people say chartings don't matter as long as the music is good, and its definitely true, but I can't help but be happy for LP

I will party hard if this album remains at least 4 weeks #1 at the top at the likes of Eminem's album Recovery, otherwise I don't consider it a success (sorry I know I am being a hater )

 

Depends how you define "success." I think the band considered it a success before the release because they made an album that they liked. Now, if you're saying that from Warner's perspective, I can see where you're coming from. But, it did debut number one.

 

Agreed. The band doesn't care where it was on the charts, they like the product they made and it so happened to be that 253,685 people did as well lol

Scoring a no.1 with sales of 250,000 records. The recording industry really is a dying beast. I believe MTM sold more than 600,000 in it's first week, so in 3 years that's less than half that number. Of course, there is the possibility of the record catching on fire and selling more but I wonder how long till it hits the million mark. Anyway, congrats to LP on another no.1.
