MySpace NYC Live Video - Numb

Sigh, I thought the whole point of this was to get some live material from NEW songs.

 

Maybe the video material for those songs wasn't that good.

 

Maybe they're planing to release a DVD? But I dunno, the crowd didn't seem too into it. Hmmm.

 

was the intro a little off? or was that an intentional change?

 

Yes, it was off. Was it intentional? I think, we'll never know the answer))))

 

Yeah. It wasn't normal. It may have been their attempt to try to alter past songs to fit the new ones. Or it might have been a mistake.

and yet I haven't been seen in a single video. -.-

I hope to god they at least pan my section in the last one tomorrow. I really shouldn't be complaining BUT come awnnnnnnnnnnnn guys, silly photographers are missing teh Schen so much. There's a few scenes I should have been in but I either got cut off of the lens or by one of the security doofuses fat heads.

Not to be a dick but, Is this -really- news post worthy? I mean honestly? ... Linkin Park playing numb (a 7 year old song) live for the hundredth times, cool...

 

Oh yeah. Upload all the others, forget about this one song on the setlist- Numb. Sheesh.

 

Hey is Iridescent following after Numb? Cuz I hear a tiny bit of the opening 'choir' at the end of the clip.
Really wanna hear them sing that live, such an epic song and one of my favorite LP songs now.

 

*Sigh* I REALLY wish they'd do something to change up Numb and make it fresh again! Bring back the awesome 2004 intro or something. Hell give the rest of the members a break and let Chester play it solo on an acoustic guitar for once!

THAT would make Numb exciting again. Otherwise it's bland as hell and needs to be erased from the setlist.

 

I think, looking strictly at how it was played, it was done very well. Joe missed a note in the intro, but aside from that, everything sounded good. The only time Chester's vocals weren't spot on was at the beginning of the bridge, it sounded like he missed a note.

Regarding the fact that we get four videos from the concert, and this is one of them, it's ridiculous. I'm sure anybody would rather have Wretches And Kings, Iridescent, The Catalyst, or even something off Minutes to Midnight. Why Numb? It's a really strange choice. Personally, I would've wanted:

-New Divide
-Waiting For The End
-Wretches And Kings
-In The End

I wonder if we'll get to see the others video one day, I mean they filmed the whole show, why keep this for yourself? Maybe it will be used for the LPUX?

u basically said u hate that they chose an old song and then replace it with in the end??DD the second most played live track of all times. Well done. That's as boring live as numb tbh, so dunno what you are thoughts are there.

 

My point still stands.

 

In The End was the song that shot them into popularity with the mainstream. It's one of their most well known songs, and it's been with them since the beginning. There's a difference between playing an old song, and playing a classic song. It's like Papa Roach not playing Last Resort, or Disturbed not playing Down With The Sickness. That, and In The End is way better than Numb.

EDIT: And I never had a complaint about the song being "old". I just said Numb was a strange choice.

ITE has never and will never be a "classic song". Considering...ITE is still an old song, older than numb.
