    I was a little taken aback seeing that tweet as well. I doubt they'd ever lip sync their LIVE shows.

    Yeah. That's a bad way to get a rumor started about a band of which his site is meant to support. I'm incredulous that such a tweet was even made. Totally disrespectful towards Mike.

    Being there live, I'm positive that both Mike and Chester were singing. These rumors about lip sync are certainly false.

    For someone who runs a site dedicated to live content, he should know that mike used a voice effects box to get the effect! Of course there was going to be effects used. Mike can't sing that high on his own. Not without a really hard kick to the scrotum.

    Wow, what a fucking joke. The lyrics are even different than the studio version. Mike says "as we burn" in the live show, and "will we burn" in the studio version. Nice research before people start making accusations like that.

    Seriously, even if he did... it's the fucking Requiem, he would have probably dubbed himself low against the recording anyway. Who gives a shit. Wow. Way to say thanks after your site has just been shouted out by him.

    The voice of the "girl" is said to be too identical with the studio version, though, as pointed out.

    But posting it on Twitter without evidence is somewhat "wtf?"

    But the lyrics are different. Meaning the accusations are wrong AND false.

    Plus it's going to sound a lot like it live because we're watching it over a video. He's using the same effects, and its being broadcasted over a non professional video recording (meaning extreme audio compression or even distortion). Any vocal inflections etc probably can't even be heard due to the audio being slightly distorted.

    Furthermore, it was proven via the KROQ show that Mike uses a special piece of gear to do the effect live.

    Schen was there last night and said that not only was he not lipsynching, but that you could see the box the mic was plugged into to achieve the effect.

    Mike didn't lip-sync, end of. I'm a synth player and experiment regularly with vocoders and other vocal synth effects and I can tell you now that you can alter your voice to no ends these days.
