LP has done loads of introspective songs earlier in their career then moved on to more uplifting songs and apocalypse/political-themed lyrics with MTM and ATS . What's next? What kind of topics/ideas do you want them to explore in the future record?

    Discuss.

I think it's time they start trying to tell a story with their albums. Rather that be made up or real stories, it doesn't matter. Like The Downward Spiral album by Nine Inch Nails. Or the 2 records by The Mars Volta, Frances The Mute and Deloused In The Comatorium. They've tackled enough worldly problems.

You could also look at ATS being a story too. Sort of, they were going for that idea, but then decided to just make it a concept album with the same theme. I would love it if they told a story though.

There's a story in TDS? I missed something? Maybe you wanted to make a reference of Year zero?

I believe the story was brought by TR who explained what it was all about. But you can take the songs apart and not having figure out a proper story. A story is for me something you tell, not something you do metaphors about. But well...

It's not totally clear, but no concept album should be forcing it down your throat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Downward_Spiral

Oh I agree with that, but you know there's a story in ATS too. I'm pretty sure if someone of the band would explain it with more detail we'd be: Ohhhhhh yeaaaaaaaah lol

I honestly want to hear more introspective songs, but with matured lyrics. Not the "lies, time not healing shit, i'm numb, i pretend to be you, you pretend to be me blah blah...."

Also, I'd love it if they venture into philosophies... like droppin knowledge about life in general. They are matured enough to venture into that territory.
