Which do you think is a better intro to the song that it's intended to build up for? I'd say Empty Spaces
Foreword was really just a track so that Meteora could have more tracks than Hybrid Theory. Empty Spaces seems to have a separate purpose, since A Thousand Suns is a conceptual record. So, Empty Spaces it is.
Empty Spaces. It kept me in the mood and built on my already curious frame of mind. Foreward seemed rather dramatic at the time. And now it just seems pointless.
Empty Spaces, because unlike the relationship between Foreword and Don't Stay, they didn't just chop 18 seconds off the beginning of When They Come For Me and call it a separate track so they could be all "this album has one more song than our last one!!!" Empty Spaces doesn't necessarily NEED to be a track on its own, but at least it's not a blatant cop-out.
hav you never heard burning in the skies and empty spaces one after another...empty spaces provides a gr8 end to d song... surely empty spaces
Haha, I wasn't aware we had anybody else from St. Cloud on here! Much less one that was born the same month and year as me, that's crazy. I've only lived in MN for 5 and a half months though.
I honestly think that Foreword was better, if only since it actually fit. Both in my opinion are just pointless though.
