Because they have an open mind and there is nothing musically wrong with that sound. Why does everything have to be done through a single, American-centric rock filter. Why can't a single band change styles frequently to accomodate whatever mood they want to set.

This is bullshit guys ... 1 day you trip balls over one song the next day you hate on another you can't like EVERYTHING, you find the songs you like and you listen to them no need for over exaggerated statements.

Every next song on the album is gonna be miles away from the previous ... and that diversity is what makes it so special pop/rap/rock/epic middle eastern percutions and so on

In every song up to this point Chester's voice is pure win ... he really brings the A game and everything he has learned from HT,Meteora and M2M

I wish people had more of an open mind towards music. I look for complex melodies, unique musicality, solid lyrics, and emotional communication. I will admit that I even like some Lady Gaga because she has such great melodies and sounds (though her lyrics are awful).

What I despise is bands like Nickelback or Daughtry that have extremely bland melodies, uninteresting lyrics, and unmemorable music. I am a musician myself and I could emulate a Nickelback song within a day, worthy of radio play (if I had the right voice). Different music provides different moods and feelings. As long as an artist is putting out something unique and pleasing to my ears, I am liking it.

 

Yes!!! I think Chester is in whole different level nowadays...
And with Mike getting more singing in the songs...chester´s parts in the live show might get better

He has always sung well !!! But yea, since MTM era, he has been focusing on his singing !!

The reggae thing is fine...but why is it popping up on multiple songs?

I am really digging Chester's part in this, though.
