This is probably the best looking Call Of Duty yet.
It does look promising, though I really stick behind IW's work on these titles more then Treyarch. I love the MW's, EPIC story line! >< The end to the MW2 gave me chills, I can't wait to see where the story goes from there, though I heard rumors that IW was fired, but there's a Wiki article for MW3? Wiki isn't a solid source, I know, but anyone really know what's up? That was off topic!, my bad, yeah, I am expecting this one to be pretty awesome.
@ TheLucky1: Infinity Ward's founders had a falling out with Activision, who then fired them. They left to create their own studio, Respawn Entertainment, and are partnering with EA. The vast majority of Infinity Ward's staff followed them since Activision has refused to give them their royalties for Modern Warfare 2 and a lawsuit is currently ongoing. I'll wait for Respawn Entertainment's first game. I'm not going to support Activision if I can help it, and Treyarch's games simply aren't as good as Infinity Ward's were.
Oh, sweeet!, EA is a great game publisher, even if Activision doesn't hand over the title of Modern Warfare, they've lost a major battle anyway with losing IW to EA. Sorry, off topic again, anyone seen the MP vids for Black Ops yet?, interesting stuff though I think the RC car is a little bit much and kinda funny. Beep-beep!, BOOM! XD
Modern Warfare is Activision's IP, so it'll likely be a new series as Respawn isn't doing Medal of Honor stuff.
Ooooh, hmm.. so MW3 is in production but not by IW?, I see. I was reading up on it and some of it was hard to follow but I see now.
No, it most likely is in production by Infinity Ward, but we don't know. Infinity Ward still exists, but they lost a ton of staff (all of their higher-ups) to Respawn Entertainment. Infinity Ward isn't the same developer it was before. Activision wanted Infinity Ward to continually churn out Modern Warfare games, but the Infinity Ward studio heads wanted to branch out and make different kinds of games. When they said no, Activision basically fired them and most of their employees followed them to Respawn Entertainment. Infinity Ward still exists, though, as not everyone left.
I think Infinity Ward need to go back to what they did when they did the first Modern Warfare. It was a risk, and it was all original. With Modern Warfare 2 it was basically the same think. This is why I think Black Ops is going to be the best game yet, it is original and its sort of a risk.
Same here. This game is definitely raking up to be bigger and better than MW2. I really hope he blows it out of the water.
Meh. I'm a Modern Warfare fan myself. COD 5 was okay. I'll buy the game if the reviews are good. But my expectations are low.
I'm not really a fan of the COD series, but this game looks pretty awesome. I'll give it a shot. Considering I was bashing MW2 when it first came out, but after a while I got addicted...
There are some things I wish they would of kept low-key in MW2 like in MW1, like the UMP is WAY over-stated in every way, low low recoil and powerful even at long range. Not enough guns still, I want an armory!, there were a decent amount of ARs but there was like 4-6 of anything else... =/ Thermal is SOOO noob... the maps are way too thought out, the spawns in some maps are freaking giant but no one uses them at all!, like Karachi and Derail. Ah, the list goes on but I still love the game, it's fun and it begs you to step up your game, I played CoD4 after prestige-ing once in MW2 and I was ripping it up like never before. 30s and single digits a few times, and my strong suit is rushing-SMG-CQB so that's definitely some rambo shit.
