Finally! the release of the catalyst is here!! All I have to do is click play and all the waiting is over.

    • a dark organ with a pitched down synth fades in, this going to be epic.
    • a dancey little beat kicks in, this is going to be awesome!!
    • joe hahn is scratching again!! im getting more and more excited!!!
    • mike comes in, that effect on his voice sucks, its hurting my ears!!
    • i hear phoenix on bass! about time he was more evident on a track!
    • ...this is starting to suck, the tracks are out of time with each other and its falling apart.
    • god this horrible.. why is chester shouting?! the vocals suck!
    • i dont like this one bit.
    • oh wait, i can hear some sexy sounding electronic noises coming in! there is still hope!
    • yes! this, the beat and the scratching sound majorly cool together!! this is going to be good!
    • mike and chester are back, and they are destroying this song! i hate the vocals on this song so far!
    • these words don't even make sense, same old new divide shit.
    • well at least chester hasn't said the word "pain" yet, the musics stopped, a cool sweeping sound comes in followed by some sort of solo? could be brad on guitar with some weird effect??
    • i like this alot!!! so epic!!! just dont bring in the vocals again...
    • ARGH MY EARS, mike and chester please shut up, play triangle or something!! anything but these horrible vocals!!
    • its stopped again, a simple but nice piano is brought in with some electronic noises, EARGASM!
    • oh sweet jesus, don't tell me mike is crooning now. he better not keep repeating "lift me up, let me go"
    • rob has come to save the day! keep hitting that snare rob!! you have to drown out that horrible repetitive singing..
    • i like the subtle high violin/choir sounds, very euphoric..
    • chesters back in, and hes singing too! sounds a lot better than mike's vocals, im happy at the moment.
    • i love this!
    • robs drumming is fantastic!
    • the layers break down, the end of this reminds me of numb.
    • wow, that was pretty good, as long as i go in complete denial of mike's subpar vocals.

I actually enjoys Mike's vocals more so than Chester's on this song.

I agree. Something about Mike's "Lift Me Up" at the end really strikes a nerve and i get chills every time i hear it. Really the only thing that bothers me is the over-produced lyrics, but they make sense later in the song as part of the mix, but when there's almost no layers other than the vocals, it bothers me, but its grown on me

Face it people- the song sucks hard. You're only forcing yourself to like it.

To sum it up, it sounds so haphazardly mixed, like Not Alone. JMHO.

Thanks for telling me what I like, dude! I'll be sure to come to you to find out my other likes & interests the next time I want to know how I feel about something. If it wasn't for your one sided, blanket statement generalization I'd be pretty lost. Thanks, man! :chuck:

Here is my second by second analysis of me opening this thread:

    - I notice the thread on the LPA board index.
    - I click on the thread title and it loads.
    - I feel slightly disappointed as I realise it isn't a literal "second by second" analysis that analyses every single second of the song.

The song smells great at first, but then you take it out on a date and realize how obnoxious it really is. But hey, at least it seems to be an easy lay? Unfortunately, the sex won't be good, and your apartment bedroom will be laced with a fishy stench for the rest of the evening. You're gratified though, that by the end you won't come out of it with syphilis.

    Lol

I like the layers on the vocals, it makes the song different. And i have nothing against the repetive lyrics, as long as the other songs on the album arent like that.
