This is great news. I hope some of the stuff doesn't sound very sloppy or unorganized as a result of this whole "improv" process though. I have faith that the band, being such perfectionists, wouldn't let that slide.

I love their writing process this time around. This is the opposite of what made Meteora such a bland, souless (with few exceptions), though catchy album.

People are missing something, ATS: Full Experience will probably have interludes between songs to make them run more smoothly and flow.

It won't have anything extra. It'll be the same thing as the regular album except the songs aren't divided and it's just to encourage people to listen to the whole album instead of just bits and pieces.

There's already interludes on the album. Mike said recently that the track lengths range anywhere from 20 seconds (obviously interludes) to almost 6 full minutes.

Yeah, which means buying the album on one track is totally useless because anyone can just copy-paste them together for free.

Question: If a lot of these songs were written down on the first go and not over rehearsed and improved and all that, why did it take so long for this album to get done?

I dont think rehearsing is the same as rewriting a part for that song. They may write a ton of parts for the song, but they don't practice any one part a lot, methinks.

And how many songs did LP end up writing in total anyway? A hella long time ago it was at least 70.

From what I've gathered, LP changed directions after a while. They were making music they way they normally had, and then went in the ATS direction.

rehearsals take a lot of time. Ive been in a band, we wrote 10 songs in 2 months but rehearsed for like 5 months before we entered the studio. But well LP are professionals but as we can hear from the catalyst it takes a lot of time to find the right loops and etc. oh and the guys have been touring for 2 years (almost non-stop) so I hope they also took a rest from everything.

Well since they helped you, give them a cookie. *sneaks away* By the way, they still have songs not used since MTM. So I'm sure they have aleast 100 or two.
