Mike Gives Details Regarding ATS & Album Length

Can't blame them for not liking the vocoder. Reaction is pretty split. Here I'd say most like what they've heard so far but that isn't the case elsewhere.

 

I'm pretty sure at this point you don't even know what the hell a vocoder is.

In fairness it's probably just semantics, it's safe to say he means whatever effect it is being used on Mike's voice.

sounds good about the instrumentals, i'm hoping for more like lockjaw and cure for the itch, they were brilliant and i'd love for more of them on the upcoming album

 

You're absolutly right. I agree also with who says quality over quantity. Even tho, i hope there are 2 more interludes and longer songs, than short songs. Unless the short ones are instrumental and so obviously also in little time can kick ass.

 

45-50 minutes sounds great, this is a LOT of music coming towards us, cant wait anymore

 

Here's a quick question and interesting thought. What if "Empty Spaces" on ATS is a cover/alteration of Pink Floyd's original track?

Linkin Park could very well pull this off and out of their bag of tricks. It would be stellar if they incorporated this into their live set. The globalization concept of PF's Empty Spaces relates to LP's new style or concept album if that is what they have in thier vision.

45+ minutes is perfect for me,not too long but not too short either.and if "The Catalyst is their most ''catchy'' song on the album...then OMG for what is coming.

coz we heard almost 1 min of the song and we didn't hear any scream or heavy guitar so is not

 

Yea, wow thats still so awesome that you had a chitchat with Dave - brap brap brotha. I like to think of the possibilities and what could be, as I am still a musician myself. However, still with what you said and what we've heard from LPTV, it would a move that would unlinkinpark themselves a bit. Yeah, I agree, given what has been said in the past from the band and others, its highly unlikely. Indeed, most likely coincidence, but I bet they used the track as an aspect of their influences.

Who knows, we may say "...i think not!" when we hear it for the first time.

Any word on TC video front? So far its all quiet.

Amusingly enough, the people at Sputnik seem to like the first 30 second preview more than the MoH preview, which seems to be the opposite opinion of most LP boards I've seen.
