    Linkin Park needs your help in finding the best remix of The Catalyst! To listen to all of the selections, and vote for the best remix out of all of the entries, please access the randomizer here and cast your vote. This page will bring up random entries from the contest allowing you to either skip, or vote "hot" or "not" on the specified track. Alternatively, you can view the top submissions and vote accordingly here.

    Well, this should be very interesting, but if they actually wanted to sort out the best, they should have reset the rankings.

    This "Hot" and "Not" system was there from the beginning, it just depended on how you accessed the page.

    well i cant even play it I can click the play button a million times and it doesnt change a thing :/ idk if its just my computer or something.., :( lol

    I mean, it's pretty great and all but for it to be uploaded today and it's already in 6th place? Either there is a crazy fanbase for this guy or something's up.

    Interesting indeed. But it's impossible for people to cheat. They can check IP addresses (I think?) to make sure someone isn't just making new accounts over and over again. The top 10 overall is GARBAGE. LP is going to have to do some digging to find the winner (perhaps Keaton?).

    Ditto here, I'm pretty sure that if your remix was featured on LPA, there is a pretty decent chance that LP already listened to it. I'm just not sure why they are pushing the voting though through facebook. Most likely, the band has already picked and finalized it down to a few. Maybe them pushing the voting is just creating more hype for the album.

    Also saw that one which was posted yesterday and is now in 4th place. I have heard other ones that are comparibly to it but are ranked way lower. It's good, but it isn't fantastic enough to move up that much in a single day. The guy probably just has a really large fan base.

    Figured it was something like that, either a lot of friends on Myspace, Facebook, or Youtube. What is he known for, though, to get that many subscribers?

    Cheating it may not be, but it still shows what's incredibly wrong with this contest. If someone has an incredibly huge following and THOUSANDS of supporters, people can just vote their remix up based on who they are. There could very easily be a remix that is the best remix on that site, but because the person has no following they're stuck at 500th place or lower. I love LP, and support them heavily...but this remix is (and has been) a popularity contest from the start.

    Still, I wish anyone who enters this contest luck. May the best man/woman/group win!

    They should take the names and pics away from the entries and let it be purely about votes from people actually listening to the music and having no clue who did the song. That might make it difficult for the 1500 entries, but it would be fair.

    interesting idea Obiwan, it would really turn the tied on the rankings.

    I feel kinda bad though. I feel i should listen to every one of them, but I know I really cant be botherd to do that xD


    *edit* had a thought, when LP sees the rankings, how many will they consider for the count? the top 10? 20? 50? I really want dave Newton to win this, but hes at 31st place. is the chance for him to win slim?

    I mean don't get me wrong, the people in the top 10 have fantastic remixes and have earned their way up there...but there's also incredible ones that are at 40-50 and haven't moved. That's depressing.
