Mike has taken the time to clear up some questions regarding the A Thousand Suns pre-order, read it below or check it out at his at his blog.

Alrightee folks. The pre-order for A THOUSAND SUNS is here. I wanted to take a minute to give you some more details about the stuff and answer some questions.

1.) With any purchase, you get the digital version of the album FOR FREE. Yes, even if you buy the skate deck or the tee shirt, you get the album free. You also get early access to concert tickets to our shows (which means you’ll get better seats).

2.) The DVD included in the first two items is called MEETING OF A THOUSAND SUNS. It’s the best documentary of a Linkin Park album ever made. I’m not just saying that. It’s the best everrrrr.

3.) The Deluxe Box Set includes the CD, DVD, the album on two vinyl records, a print of the album art (for your wall, if you so desire), and a HARDCOVER BOOK. The book is NOT just the album booklet, blown up bigger. It’s a special book, designed for and only included with the box set. And by the way…the Regular CD, Mid-level CD/DVD, and the Box Set will all have different art booklets.

    4.) Q: “When do I get everything?”
A: The second it becomes available from us to you (aka the earliest time possible in the known universe, as determined by the Sun, Earth, gravity, the speed of light, and Warner Bros. Records). In the meantime, we’ll be sending you guys a couple other things, just for fun: video clips, early snippets, who knows? But the bottom line is, you get more when you order from us directly. All you do is enter your email address when you check out, and we’ll email you a link to the stuff (such as: The Catalyst, A Thousand Suns) the moment it is ready for download.

5.) Q: I’m afraid to give my email address. Is it safe?
A: Ask the members of LPU. We don’t spam, and we treat our members with respect–we don’t sell or give away your info. In fact, my own email address is on the list, so I know the list doesn’t get compromised!

…I hope that clears up the basic questions about the pre-order on www.linkinpark.com. If you haven’t already, feel free to spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, and anywhere you go online. Thanks for your support…we can’t wait for you to hear A THOUSAND SUNS.

Definitely, the fact the regular CD, the Special Edition & the Deluxe Edition will all have different art books is great. I'm also very excited for this new breed of documentary, Meeting Of A Thousand Suns.

Yeah, even from the LPTV it looked like it was going to be something special. I'm really excited to see the full feature.

With all the time they put into making this album it's nice to see it all coming together after such a long wait.

I have a feeling the band hasn't put this much heart and soul into an album like this since Hybrid Theory. Guess we'll see!

Edit: Don't get me wrong on how that sounds folks. I'm sure the band put alot into Meteora and Minutes to Midnight. Just saying even the band seems really into this album then ever before.

I have a feeling now that everyone knows that Mike reads the fansite forums that we're gonna have a lot of messages to the band on this site now .

And I agree Joe, everything about this album just hints that this will be Linkin Park's magnum opus. I really feel that this is going to be the record that we have been begging the band to make since Meteora. I honestly do. Some fans might be scared that the band is drastically changing their sound in the pursuit of something new...but as for me? I couldn't be more excited. Bring on the experimentation!

I agree 100%. Funny story. An older guy I work with told me when he and a few friends heard about Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon they thought the name and cover was silly at first. When they heard the music.... The rest was history!

Yes that's it. THAT'S IT. So much work behind this and belief. Can't wait anymore.
I liked the: " It’s the best documentary of a Linkin Park album ever made. I’m not just saying that. It’s the best everrrrr." hehe, simply because i know it's true.
Different booklets? Beautiful. I knew and was sure and said, the cover was not going to be completed without the booklets. It was almost obvious. :)

That's very true Green Ranger. Dark Side of The Moon is one the simplest album covers of all time, but the image has become iconic, and the music speaks for itself. Could this be LP's Dark Side of The Moon? :)

    Early Access to Tickets

    Mike,

I don't understand! I thought one of the biggest perks to being in the LPU was early access to tickets. Now everyone that owns your CD gets that? Are you taking this away for LPU members? I'm still debating if I should pre order through the site because its pretty pricey is my opinion

Spot on. I think with this record, we're going to get what we have been waiting for for a long time.
