You can check out a newly uploaded LPTV episode over at linkinpark.com, which shows the band in the studio discussing a track titled "Iridescent" for A Thousand Suns. Check it out here. Source: linkinpark.com
Sounds like they gotta change that one song up a bit haha. Listen to Rick LP. We want original material whenever possible!
I posted this in the last thread but I am posting it again: "Yes! This is what I like to see! I've been good at not getting overly excited but with all the news these past two weeks, it really is getting hard not to be pumped... I can't wait for the inevitable LA show date. I will be there in line all day just like at the Minutes To Midnight signing where I was 5th in line! Got to be on LPTV too! Woo GREAT memories! " edit: It's cool that at the very least Mike is skimming through fan comments in the community. It's good to know that our opinions, questions, and concerns aren't falling on deaf ears. Everything looks promising so far and I am expecting the unexpected with this album. I can't wait!
2 amazing news in less than an hour, God I love these days, going to miss such days greatly once the album is out!
Great teaser there for the new album. I'm really excited with all this activity regarding A Thousand Suns.
truely impressive, It is by far better than MTM Making Of (I suppose that this short video will be on the dvd as well) It gives much more insight than it did in MTM. I believe this album is more personal than the 3 before and we fans get much more involved. If its the same for the shows, than we have an utopia in the LP world oh and about mike reading the community forum posts: He knows that here is the place where the true comments lie. Not any "oh i love it mike you're a genious" or "thats ugly!" comment, only those mike and the guys need to know.
Sounds like a cool song title. Do you guys think they're trying not use the catchy phrases from choruses like they usually do? 'Cause I love it whe bands use weird titles like that.
still the same. he (or the bot) sent them yesterday at 3AM and today at 8AM m_shinoda Thanks for your help. Check back to see what happens. This is for you: http://t.opsp.in/Ia62 ... and ... http://t.opsp.in/IuPH about 17 hours ago you'll get one if you tweet more than ...40x #Athousandsuns ?
Yes, the making of actually goes into the politics/ interplay between band members in the actual creative process working on a song. BBB has grown a lot! Check out that charisma behind the scenes. They talk about an important concept of attachment and getting married to a song. The ideas have to be so good and likable you want to marry it as though it completes you. I like how Chester went down that road with this and pointed out that what goes together has to be so fucking cool that it was almost meant to be put down on the track. Hey, after working through song creation processes for so long he has developed an intuitive feel for what sounds right. This is the style of a "making of" that is way better than what they've done in the past, granted we've only seen a short clip, but we still get a glimpse of the personality interaction necessary to build a song. Hopefully, and even judging by what I've seen in the clip, Linkin Park has a vivid vision of what they wanted to construct with A Thousand Suns. I would like to see more scenes with the co-producer, Rick Rubin, and to see his influence and involvement with LP during different stages of the making of. Let's get ready for a boundary pushing album that will expand the Linkin Park mold.
This has me so pumped. I swear, I've got to hear a full song soon or I'm about to fart out one of my lungs...
This might be considered spam, but this is my reaction to the video: the enigma: "kjoiejkl;fjeoi! dfhoeoi! jdkfheooo!" Nerdgasm.
We are really getting spoiled this week. I'm really happy to hear that they talk about songs like that. It may not be the case with every song, but they seemed open to change the song in any way to make it better and not just attached to a part because they came up with it. A sign of a good band.
