ATS Pre-Order Details Confirm CD / DVD

    With A Thousand Suns nearing release, a number of online retailers have begun pre-orders for Linkin Park's eagerly anticipated fourth studio effort. Outlets such as Amazon, Best Buy and now Barnes & Noble have begun taking advance orders for the record, with B&N confirming the Special Edition will include a Bonus DVD alongside the album, as expected. Here are the tentative listings of ATS so far:

    - A Thousand Suns (Explicit)
    - A Thousand suns (Clean)
    - A Thousand Suns (Special Edition CD/DVD)
    - A Thousand Suns (+1 Bonus - Import, JP)
    - A Thousand Suns (LP Vinyl)

    Although this seems confirmed, we wait for linkinpark.com for full confirmation when they release their Pre-Sale info sometime soon.

    Yes, thats what I'm talking about.

    Like someone mention in the album cover thread, the artwork might be totally different in the special addition with the DVD

    That's good, I always get the Special Editions. The Behind the Scenes stuff really adds that much more to the experience.

    Thing with LP is that even if I don't necessarily love their new stuff, I buy every single one of their albums just out of respect for the great years of music they gave me years ago.

    I expect this. Meteora had a brown version, but the special edition was blue. Minutes to Midnight's special edition looked like a book, and I wouldn't mind if A Thousand Suns came in some sort of book thing. If so, I'd have to buy the album twice.

    Yes, I'm positive the Special Edition will be something awesome. It's always good to have a DVD too, I can only think it will be another Making Of DVD, which I'll be really happy with as I find them really interesting and enjoyable to watch.

    I enjoy watching ho they create their music.

    And I don't care what the album sounds like. I don't care if people will hate it. I'm going to support this band until the end.

    You can at the listed sites and maybe a few more US outlets, but linkinpark.com are yet to reveal their pre-sale information and I would recommend waiting to see what they have to offer before placing orders elsewhere. I expect they will be announcing it today at some stage, maybe.

    Haha yeah I clicked on the links and realized that you could! Does anyone recommend which one to pre order off of? I'm leaning towards lp.com. Maybe more details will make the decision more clear.

    Awesome. I love "The making of" DVDs. Wonder if http://linkinpark.com will be offering something more then just the CD/DVD combo.

    Maybe so. I imagine an art book of some kind again maybe, or they could opt for something completely different that we won't expect.

    This might sound stupid, but I was going to go to Best Buy to buy the Special Edition of the album. Is the Special Edition only for pre-order or can you also buy it in store because every time I go to Best Buy, I only find the Explicit Version, or the Special Edition might just be sold out...?
