Mike recently updated his blog to inform us on how we can submit our remixes for the voting process: "Now that you have had the chance to start recording your versions of “The Catalyst,” this is how you can submit them to the official contest. Go here and add the Indaba Music app to your MySpace profile. Continue to the Linkin Park contest page and follow the steps to upload your file. Only the tracks entered in the official contest can be considered for the grand prize. If you don’t have your own music production software, you can record using the mixer provided in the Indaba Music app." Follow Mike's instructions and begin putting that hard work into effect! Also, you can check out all current submissions, here. Source: mikeshinoda.com via jesse
Ya know, I just hope this doesn't turn into some sort of popularity contest thing, cause that would suck.
^ ^ Luckily the band chooses and not the fans. I think there are a good number of submissions we are ignoring or just haven't made time to look at! I've found some top notch stuff at Indaba that isn't getting the recognition it deserves IMO!
Well, that is exactly the point. Most likely they are only gonna look at the top whatever # of songs and pick from them. There could be some absolute gems laying near the bottom that just didn't get heard. As well, the earlier a song was put up, it is more likely to do better I would assume.
Yeah exactly. There's a lot of people who are up there solely because of popularity and not due to originality. I'm praying that the features we're doing will help some of the more original people get noticed.
