That's simple. Because the contest is NOT officially opened yet, I guess. Or it must be.
The official material will be showed up in that MySpace page, and I guess BoJam is one step ahead. Maybe one of the official sites to submit remixes. That site offers online remixing, and you can easily remix LP's material with your idea.

 

nope im with you. i love the fact ppl are already ripping the album to shreds after a 2 minute sample, and saying "why cant it be like the old hybrid theory nu metal stuff?"

ppl seriously need to have an open mind about new music

 

So far I like what I hear. I really want to hear more for sure. It all sounds like scattered pieces of the song. Like its both intro and outro?

Its all just a bunch of steams. If the band would have given us the whole song what would be the point of August 2nd?

Actually, there are nearly a dozen guys along with me now, who have been hearing the sample for about an hour now and still cant get off it. You decide.

FOR ALL THE NEGATIVE PEOPLE: come on, this song feels "naked", and still you can see some amazing points, as a huge drum (i never heared Rob playing like that on studio albums), a beautiful keyboard, just add the spice of a guitar and bass, some more Hahn maybe, we're only in the half way so don't judge!!!

And my point of view: vocals are great. If it would be auto-tune i would have killed myself because when i heared Timbaland always using that 2 months ago, i said to myself, i hope LP will never arrive to that crap. But Mike is not with Auto-Tune, is simply an electro/pre-echo effect, which means, there's all his ability of singing without "helps", and that's just enough to appreciate it to the highest.

 

ok.... so this song is actually the remix that fans will get to remix? honestly, I am very very disappoint. I have NEVER said that about a LP song, EVER. I really don't like it at all. Are these snippets part of the bigger track that was already remixed by them (i.e. we're not actually hearing the vanilla 'The Catalyst'?) as was the LOATR remix which sounds NOTHING like the original? Or is this the base song that now we get to remix? I am sorry if that is confusing, I think I confused myself, but I understand what i'm saying.... lmao.

 

SO glad i became a member of the LPA like the other day because other wise i might of not heard the snipet of the Catalyst and the whole Linkin Park featuring you thing

Does anyone know what the font is yet?
It is very similar to Arial Narrow....but its not.

 

The real necessary part is about 90 sec. You don't need another loop of...60 sec of the same instrumental.

 

I will not even hear 0.0001 second of the song, i will wait until 2 Auguest To hear the FULL SONG!!!!
