Half of the Australia is desert, and there it gets freaking hot, why not put a trillion things there?
You know what really pisses me off about this whole BP issue, is that instead of using the millions of dollars it has on helping clean up the situation, they just used it for ads so we can feel pity for them.
I'm wondering how much longer it will take for oil to reach Florida's eastern coast. What a wondrous occasion that will be!
I've taken two trips to Louisiana (I live in Texas) to help with clean-up efforts. I highly suggest anyone, regardless of location in our good ol' US of A (awkward wording thanks to that competition in Random Chat), to go down and help at least for a day.
But if we spent some money developing solar technology, rather than digging deeper and deeper for oil, we could have the technology. Even now, with limited investment, efficiency is increasing. I'll try and chase up some real figures though, so you don't just have to take my word for it...
This oil spill is a good lesson for all these money addicted idiots. Is more money worth killing millions of animals, sea creatures and the environment? If he wants more money, and killing the environment is part of getting more money, then he should fucking die.
Haha. "This is serious discussion, stupid games don't count". I wonder what we will be getting in our signatures....
I think what BP has done is extremely awful and they should be (the owners) imprisoned for all the destruction it has caused. On a brighter side, there are only two type of birds that can handle that type of stress - pelicans and penguins. Nonetheless, I'm still boycotting their petrol stations.
Sorry if this has already been posted. I just read an article on how the spill may be 'the catalyst' for mass extinctions as seen in the geological past. Worth reading. Comments?
Breaking News: BP: No oil flowing into Gulf of Mexico for first time in months as part of test of ruptured well.
I once read a head line that said "Cataclysmic world ending oil spill* or some such. anyone know anything about that? I think it said in the article something about extinction of ocean life and then people..
