So, most people know about Steve Job's rant about Flash, and how it's oh so bad and people should stop using it, blah blah - Apple doesn't allow Flash on it's iDevices at all, instead they support HTML5 and encourage developers to use it instead.

Google, on the other hand, has taken a completely different position and is basically supporting Flash all the way - from helping Adobe implement Flash for Android and as of today, integrating Flash into the Chrome browser - Chrome will do all the updating of it's Flash plugin for you so you don't even have to worry about it. Of course, Google is a VERY strong supporter of HTML5 also, I think they're now the top committers of the Webkit engine (which Chrome and Safari both use).

So, who do you think is right? Apple for ditching Flash, or Google for giving it a chance? How do you think Flash will be used in the future, now that HTML5 can do a lot of things Flash can?

Flash - you need a plugin.
    HTML5 - you don't need a plugin.
Honestly, HTML5 seems fine to me.

While this is theoretically true, the part where a plugin is an issue is that you have to go install it, and maintain it yourself - as I mentioned above, Google Chrome now has Flash built-in, so the browser completely manages and updates Flash for you - no hassle whatsoever to you. So, now it's on the same level as HTML5. Now what?

Google wins for actually giving you a chance to choose which it is that you want. If you want to use website that use flash, just go to the flash websites, and if you don't go to the html5 websites and now that it's build into Chrome no one can say "You mean I have install some stupid thing just to watch this youtube video?" Youtube has a beta in html5 now though so it really shouldn't matter. So does dailymotion btw. Apple would be okay if they weren't so CLOSED about everything, and to make it worse they keep going on about how open they are. What a bunch of idiots. Mainly Steve Jobs who doesn't care about his customers at all as long as he gets the $$$.

Google one day, will own Microsoft and Apple.
I never knew Flash was built-in to Chrome (which is what I use) so thats a plus for me.
When it comes down to iPhone apps, HTML is the best.
