I wouldn't count on a single until August if the album really is coming out in September. WID dropped 6 weeks before MTM (April 2 -May 14).

Yea thats what I'm thinking. I'm hoping for late July but... Signs point toward August.

I don't think we're going to post release date speculation, even if a banner says it guys. Because if we post that rumor, then we'll have to post amazon.com rumors and so forth. We're a fact based news site, and sure that means we don't post as much as other sites...but at least you know you can trust whatever we post. :)

Yep, definitely makes sense :) At least we recieve more and more promising signs :)

Because there's a big noticable split amongst LP fans and their tastes. Your least fave tracks from M2M are the most popular tracks except for In Between. Just by that I could tell you probably were a Meteora guy. Usually I find that those fans like qwerty (mostly the live version) and the tracks that didn't make M2M. I just totally find that amusing lol

Amusing? How so? I could refer you to reviews of MTM and Meteora and you'd find that you're in the minority, not me.

Too bad I didn't say anything about anything about you being in the minority...maybe in the minority amongst critics on M2M. Iono what you read, but I said there's a gigantic split on fan tastes, and that has nothing to do with anybody being a minority

Hey, you asked for a varied music library, not one that didn't have bands that obviously knew what they were good at.

OMG, this sounds epic! Really LP style.. I think this maybe isn't fake. :D
Plus: the guy who uploaded it is from Germany, same country as the poster is from.

Most likely a fake but I must admit, it does sound pretty cool & exciting.

Obviously fake but I must admit, whoever made this has some talent. It's not bad at all. Nice to see an LP fake that isn't complete garbage for a change :p

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. Mike seems to have only confirmed that a new album is on the way. Anything else is still simply speculation at this point.

The blog is just Mike being vague about information we already have.

I have no idea why they're posting "oh the album sounds awesome", when they have only heard a single mix of some songs? They might not even be the final versions. Its stupid.

Well if the unfinished versions sound good, the final ones will sound even better. You can tell, sort of, how the new album is going to sound if you listen to some samples.

You never know, the final mixing stage could fuck up the whole thing.

The way he mentions it could be taken as it's not real and he finds it funny or it's real. Neither confirming nor denying

They're not the final mixes but very little, if anything, will change musically between those tracks and the finalised tracks. Seeing as these places only get to hear each track once a rough mix is all that's needed to tell if the song is good or not.

Well, for the sake of argument, perhaps he's being sarcastic.

I still don't think there's any reason to think XFM are lying though. Let's say they were - they aren't as big as, say, BBC Radio 1, but they reach enough people to get into trouble with the band and Warner now it's reached them.
