Wow...I guess the whole 'Notts County challenging the top four premiership teams' dream is over. That was quick. In other news I've gotta say it makes me feel physically unwell to see so many former Arsenal players playing for Man City - especially my hero Patrick Vieira.
meh well, at least you know they're over the hill and won't come back to bite you in the ass. Roy Makaay is easily one of the most underrated players ever.
Adebayor bit us in the ass right away though lol. What I would give to knock that guy round the head with a pole... When Makaay was playing for Deportivo he was deadly but, as with most strikers who do the same, he joined Bayern Munich and fucked up his career. Bayern always seem to have too many attacking players when it's their defence that's appauling.
i thought he did quite well at Bayern actually with a 1 for 2 hit rate, and grabbing 30 goals a season in his first two seasons there. I wonder why the Dutch never checked him out
Thing is, in the last 2 seasons he spent with Bayern they had Podolski, Santa Cruz and a few others and he fell out of favor. It was a bit like wheh Michael Owen went to Real Madrid...he hardly played but stil scored a load of goals when he played. Makaay did play quite often for the dutch team at one point though...
really? I only vaguely remember him at Euro 2004...oh well on another note, Leeds are dropping way too many points, i'm actually getting worried at this point
So apparently this is our home kit for next season for our 125th anniversary or something: Dunno if I like it tbh. The lack of white sleeves takes away from the classic Arsenal image.
Another victory in a derby. Montpellier are impressive. How can a promoted team be second after 24 games?
I know what you mean about looking like United...but in fairness they took the first step to looking like us when they changed their sponsor to Nike. EDIT: Just found out the pic is a fake. Thank god for that.
The ref had a shocker today. If it was a backpass then fine but you have to allow the offending team a chance to create a wall when it's inside the area. Also a minute before that whole incident Rosicky was denied a clear penalty. Overall we didn't deserve anything from the game anyway. We were poor throughout...especially Fabianski. I think Campbell was the only one who was really trying this evening.
it clearly was in all fairness. and you're right it was an obvious penalty with the foul on Rosicky. I thought Fabianski played okay, minus the two ridiculous mistakes
We only won 2-1 at home even though we dominated most of the time. But at least we know that Fenerbahçe's defense sucks.
Fenerbache's defence is shocking...Last season we went to Turkey and put five goals past them with ease. Why Daniel Guiza is playing for them I have no idea...that guy is a deadly striker. So apparently we've reached a pre-contract agreement with Chamakh from Bordeaux.
Soccer is (almost) as puss a sport as basketball. Men falling all over the playing field/court crying about being nudged.
