Just watched it on DVR! That was so intense, wow, haha. But shit, I feel really confused about the dude in Locke's body and the smoke monster...and Locke being dead...I think I missed something? Who's the man in black? I also like how they all make it to LA but the main characters are still connecting anyway, like destiny is still bringing them together. And wtf is going on with Sayid? Haha. Oh Lost, what a show, what a show.
Also watched it not long ago.. It was really great and I'm really glad Sayid is alive. He's so badass.
I'm wandering if it's an what if thing going on, or if they are in another dimension or what ever. Since, Juliet said it worked and all.
I think it's another reality in which they're somehow gonna end up on the island together again. Can't fight fate.
Technically though, there is no isalnd now as it's under the ocean so they couldn't end up on THAT particular island, but I see what you mean, it would have been cool for that to happen.
Sharron, Micheal and Walt were not on the plane.. So I think it's an alternate reality, instead of just an alternate time line. Maybe it's something like the Territories in Talisman by Stephen King. Another reason could be is that What ever Happened, Happened. Micheal is dead, so he can't be on the plane but I really doubt we won't see him again sometime this season. But you notice that all the things that happened on the island are happening off of it too, (Charlie choking, Jack saving him.. loche meeting jack, etc) Anyway my whole theory right now is that it did in fact work, but they were shifted in time too. Like they have been doing last season. So the non-plane crash reality is co-existing and they will somehow find away to glimpse into and then ultimately choose that reality. So I think there's about 2 realities and 3 time lines.. Remember how Jack asked Desmond if he saw him before? Goes back to how Desmond is special and the reason why he is on the plane, rules don't apply to him. yeah.
lol yeah I completely forgot it's submersed no.. But yeah, they're definitely gonna end up together somehow, it's started already with Jack and John and Kate and Claire. Wouldn't it be cool if Jack fixes John my thoughts about the preview I posted earlier, so it can be considered a spoiler if you haven't seen it START in that preview you can see Jack smashing a mirror, maybe through those mirrors you can see yourself in parallel worlds or some shit like that END
I'm actually more interested in the "what could have been" story than all that bullshit with the temple on the island to be honest. I'm hoping they can bring the two together somehow.
I don't think there is a What Could Have Been - Time Line. I think all that we see actually IS. And has happened/did happen, either in the past/present/future, and parallel reality, past/present/future.
Yeah, I guess. It could be argued forever what's actually happening but there's no point as I'm sure it will all be explained in the last episode, haha. The reason I used the term "what could have been" is because I doubt the writers are going to make the LAX, and onwards story the final placement for these characters, as it would be like saying, "well, fuck you audience! All that island bullshit never even happened!" and I doubt they'll do that. Also, I was reading up on the last episode of Lost and found this quite fitting and interesting, and it's the path I'm choosing to walk at this point: Now I know that's not directly saying this isn't happening, as it probably is, but I don't think the characters at LAX will ever link with the characters on the island. I'd like them to, I'd like there to be some connection, somehow, but I can't see it being as straight forward as the LAX characters being the eventuality of the whole series, thus making the island and the whole basis of LOST redundant.
Joe, that is a pretty good point. Something that will totally blow my mind is if The Man in Black and Fake Loche, Black Smoke Monster turn out somehow NOT to be one in the same. Right now, I can't see that happening. But it is LOST. Also the whole think reminds me of the Dark Tower books.
Yeah, it would make a lot of sense and to be honest, it's the only way I can see this working. It would be interesting if the characters on the island have to die to get back to their respective "bodies" in LAX world, but even that's an odd concept, If they were to die and all of a sudden wake up in the LAX universe with all their memories of the island. My first reaction after seeing this episode was that, they will all intertwine off the island and the final shot of the season will be all the characters on a plane again, recognising each other and then the plane blows up and it goes black. End season, haha, but the island is gone so I just don't know any more.
I think that at this point there's definitely no way to predict how the show will end so I won't even try
Sorry for the double post, but the ending of LOST has leaked. It's: 626110432547f398491fad32d6add11b I'm not joking, this is the sentence/word/phrase that says what happens in the end but it is encoded in something called md5 (whatever that is lol). The problem is that these types of codes are practically impossible to solve so I think we're not gonna be spoiled
"nothing is irreversible." but i sometimes really do wonder why all the people on the island never seem to mind cameras following them. even when people are dying... seems strange.
