Speaking on his official blog, Mike Shinoda has given the fans another update on the progress of the fourth Linkin Park album. It also seems that Mike has aquired a new toy to help with the albums creation: "Among other things, I got a Nord Electro 3 for Christmas. I can't wait to start using it...we're moving on from the last batch of songs (5) to a new batch. I don't know what songs will be in the new batch. We have about 15 contenders, with some brand new gems that I worked on with Chester and Brad. The first LP studio meeting of 2010 is next Monday, so we'll vote on it then." This news comes just days after Mr. Shinoda's bold statement on Spin that the new album is halfway done. Stay tuned to LPA for more album updates! Source: Mike Shinoda's Official Blog
YEEESSSS!!!!!! =) Im sooooooo excited for some new music from these guys =) I cant wait to hear like maybe a...possible album name...possible and actually somewhat confirmed release date...a few names...damn im so exited! =)
I swear to god, I will probably jizz in my pants if Linkin Park and Fair To Midland can both get albums out by/during Summer Time. PLEASE! lol
i have NO idea...they change things as they go along and we know that, hence the release dates but since the beginning from day 1 when announcing a 4th album, they havent mentioned anything about a concept album ever since..just about it being "genre-busting" with the mindset of Hybrid Theory but not a copy...yet similar to Minutes to Midnight, not a copy...soooo about the concept album idea, i guess we'll just have to wait and see
Chester said they got rid of the concept album thing because it was too stressful and mind-torturing. Mike said it would NOT be like MTM or HT, but he mentioned going back to the HT mindset of bringing something new to the table. The only thing similar to MTM would be the experimental aspect, but it's more electronic than a stripped rock sound....and out of the 15 songs they have, Mike mentioned he sings on 4 and raps a lot on 1...I wonder about the other 10 though
