Mike Responds To Fans Questions About The New Album

MTM did have some glimmers of creative hope like you just said, but I think ultimately the record was bogged down by LP trying TOO hard not to be nu-metal. They said that they wanted to set out to create the record they wanted to make, yet part of me still feels they caved into pressure at the end.

I am watching the interviews with caution and high hopes. I want to see this band succeed and I want them to make the record that shows off their true talent. I've had a lot of people give me a hard time for still being into LP ("they're so mainstream..." etc) but having dealt with the guys through phone calls (Phoenix interview), email (joe interview) etc..I've discovered them to be really good guys and I want to see them do good.

Come on guys, don't disappoint.

The first time I ever saw someone make a typo like that was on the Fort Minor message board back in 2005, and the replies ranged from "I'm pretty sure raping on-stage is illegal ..." to "Mike would never do that!"

 

I read a bit of a Linkin Park-based fanfic some years ago, not sure if it was on LPFiction or not, and it was probably the very tip of the iceberg as far as extreme fanfic's go, but it was enough to put me off band fanfic's for good.
