In fairness it's gotten some really good reviews as well. Allmusic gave it 3.5/5 and Kerrang gave it 4. Rock Sound gave it 8/10 as well and that's coming from a magazine that's indifferent to Linkin Park related stuff at best sometimes.

 

While Out Of Ashes is by no means a classic, in terms of straight up rock it's one of the best albums this year in my opinion.

I just found it really weird that we waited years to hear Death To Analog (which I personally think is the best album this year) by Julien-K only for them to basically drop the project in favour of working with Chester.

Dead By Sunrise will be performing at How The Edge Stole Christmas in Grand Prarie, TX on December 3rd. Also performing are Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Flyleaf, Sick Puppies and Janus. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 30th at 10AM.
