There's a big difference between using autotune to hide the fact that you have no talent and using autotune to prevent you from having to do 50 takes of vocals for one song because you were a quarter of a semitone flat on a couple notes here and there. The majority of digitally-tracked albums from the last 10 years use some degree of vocal pitch correction, autotune or otherwise.

LPU CD tracklistings are never released until people recieve the CDs.

Nah, i was saying no to how you said that Daft Punk use Vocoders. Which they do, but they also used Auto Tune.

Well, as you yourself said, they do. ;)

So, yeah, I love vocoders. :) And I guess talkboxes (based on that video that was posted a few pages back) work the same way, that's pretty cool.

And, yes, auto-tune's a great tool for whatever, it can very much be used to further ... like, art. But, recently, it has definitely been abused to the point where it's, like, a commodity -- like, something that's used all the time just 'cause it's available. There's seriously only, like, one R&B track on the radio here these days that doesn't use auto-tune.

Kanye knows how it's done, "808's" was auto-tune being used appropriately, IMO.

Anyway ... there's no way LPU9 can fail. Unless the demos themselves actually suck like the band have always insisted they do.

An easy way to solve that problem, is to not listen to the radio :).

Yeah, I know. That's not the problem, though, albeit I could play my part in solving that problem by avoiding radio ... but, just, the fact is, right now, that's how it is, whether or not I listen to it. Although I wouldn't be pointing out the problem if I weren't listening to it.

There is definitely a problem, in how these talentless hacks are making a shit ton of money off their auto tune shit. But a lot of great musicians nowadays don't care about the money involved, so if we just pretend these auto tune kids don't exist, everything is fine.

    It's a new Crawling demo.

It's exactly like the old demo, but the first line is a little different.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I LOVE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!

I hope the new track is like this:

    (0-15 seconds) Silence
    (15-20 seconds) Fart noises
    (20-21 seconds) Unintelligible voice: "You're a tool"???
(22 seconds) Sound of a phone being slammed.
    End of track.
