I've been using Audacity 1.3 Beta for years now, on two computers which use Windows XP and Windows Vista, respectively -- and, after a while of working on any one project, it invariably starts crashing; the longer I work on a project, the more frequently it happens. It feels as if the program can no longer handle the weight of what's going on and just falls apart at the slightest touch. At worst, it can barely handle me copying and pasting a single slice of audio.

This is a common problem, I've read on the internet, but no-one's offered a working solution.

Anyway, here's one of the logs, if anyone could help me with figuring out what I can do:

You've been using a beta for years?

You should up/downgrade a version or two and see if that helps.

I have resorted to ONLY using that program to record raw audio stuff that I do, because I love the user friendly input output settings.

Then I export them to a bigger program like Adobe Audition for editing.

To my knowledge, 1.3 Beta's been the latest version at least since I started using it a couple of years back. 1.2.6 precedes that and I have that installed as well, I decided to try it out after a while of 1.3 Beta pissing me off -- I forget why but I decided I preferred 1.3 Beta ... so I might try 1.2.6 out again and see if I see it differently.
