@Marj: I think it's a little more complicated than that, but I do agree. People who wear his face on a shirt and have no idea what he did are obviously ignorant.

I don't think he was a 'terrorist' at all. I think the word 'rebel' probably suits him better. He wasn't killing in the name of a god or for any particular reason other that to eradicate oppression and for freedom and believed in equal rights for all humans. He put up one hell of a fight too. I don't think any 'terrorist' in history fits that bill.

It really is a touchy subject though. Alot of people, including one Nelson Mandala, believe he was an inspiration for freedom fighters around the world whereas other's tend to see the ugly side of his battles. I guess you either love him or hate him.

What I do hate though is when people wear Che Guevara t-shirts and other merch with his face on it just for the fashion sense without actually knowing his back story. It's literally the commercial rape of a legendary historical figure.

I might start a debate about this actually.

 

Thank God my brother and his girlfriend were not on the D.C. Metro when a collision happened today. They ride the Metro every day but luckily were not on the particular train where this incident happened. Good God, what a scare today. Ugh.
