I think my chord progression was, in respect to the chords and the order they're written:


5(x8), 4 (x8), 1 (x4), 7 (x8).

Then another part was like:

1(x6), 2 (x6), 6 (x6), 3 (x6).

Then some random riff I came up with.


On another note, the whole of Common Dreads by Enter Shikari makes me wanna get fucked up and party

@Evan, it's not too crazy, I just threw in a signature change. Though I'm not sure it's a complete signature change because I think it'd still work out at the end of a bar if the (x6) part were to be tabbed out in 4,4. *shrugs* Ah well. You may hear the song recorded at some point in the future.

I've only listened to a few of the songs and it just seems like his voice is struggling to sound the best it can. Maybe that's just me though.

 

Ah right k, well whatever it is i'm doing must be completely different from what you're doing since i was doing a 8/4 or 2/4 instead to adjust between sustaining and speeding up the rhythm a little.

Yeah I'm gonna go see them. I tell you something, they couldn't have found a better vocalist to replace Layne Staley than William DuVall. The guy is amazing. Can't wait to see AIC live!

 

It's just him trying to sound like one of those gnarly sounding punk singers, I think. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

 

yeah, DuVall was really a rare find i have to admit, the rest of the guys were really lucky to pick up on him, it should be legendary.

I didn't see this til it was quoted a few posts up but I've gotta say: AMEN.

The problem I have is that alot of people are giving up on knowing they're still young so just dissappear up their own asses and look down on anyone who they start branding as being ''left behind''. These next few years will determine which friends we keep and which we don't and so far alot of people this end I could care less about anymore.

I work part time but I didn't take up the option of going to college or university and the thing that gets me angry is when people start questioning that decision. Sure there are things I'm missing out on but the biggest advantage I have is that I'm not slowly becoming a shadow of my former self just to impress the new people that are coming into my life. I see alot of that shit going on and that's why I can't be assed keeping up trying to cater to people's egos. If someone thinks they're gonna do better in life simply because I'm not in university then they can go fuck themselves because I will prove them wrong.

Music is my life and I'm determined that it will be my path of the future. Fuck working in some shitty job for a crappy salary like alot of people my age. If that works for you then more power to you but I'd rather jam with my friends in my band.

 

I've essentially just started my gap year. I don't have any sort of job right now but I want one. That's purely because I want to earn my own money, though.

 

Why the fuck can't I sleep? It's 20 past 3 and I have to be up in 4 hours!

 

I just wrote something that sounds too good to get rid of. It also sounds too much like a Pixies song to get rid of as well. Anything with that combination is good in my book.

Now to record it in less than a day. Hrm.

 

Damn it to hell. My dad's snoring is keeping me up!
