Chester To Show Off His Sexier Side

In an article in the latest Rollingstone magazine, Chester states that his solo project, Dead By Sunrise, will have a more sexier feel than what we usually hear with Linkin Park.

"There's a sexier feel to some of the songs, because they are about making love or falling in love," says Bennington, who remarried in 2005. "There were a lot of really positive and negative things happening at the same time."

Dead By Sunrise, produced by Howard Benson, will see the light of day in Fall 2009. The album is titled "Out of Ashes", which Bennington describes as "electronic-rock fusion," adding, "There's a feeling and a flow to the record. It's got a vibe that people will be able to tell right away: 'That doesn't sound like Linkin Park.'"

A track titled "Crawl Back In" pairs a swaggering punk bass line with heavily layered vocals that echo Mellon Collie-era Smashing Pumpkins, while others, such as the ballad "Give Me Your Name", show off the singer's more melodic side.

Chester states that the optimistic tunes were a lot harder for him to write and record. "Music has always been a vessel to put all of my anger and frustration into," he says. "It's not easy to write a love song like the Cure does."

I'm pretty anxious to hear this but I just don't want it to be Julien-K mark 2. They're a fucking awesome band but I'm hoping I won't have to think ''well that could easily be on Death To Analog'' you know?

 

If it does I dont care, Chester's voice in JK's music sounds awesome.. I think that this will be one of my favorite records ever!.. Chester's voice is why i love LP..

I could have sworn he'd worked with Simple Plan, then I realised I was confusing him with Dave Fortman.


I probably anticipate this a little bit more now, now that it sounds as though it might not be just another hard rock album with Chester singing on it. I still think Snow White Tan was a cooler name though.

I just realised, if they did go through with calling it Snow White Tan there'd probably be some fool who'd misconstrue it as racism.

 

I love that LP is releasing a lot of stuff now. Looks like they'll be keeping their promise of not letting there be such a huge gap without new music.

 

Plus David Bowie might not like it too much, considering Chester got that name from a line in Ziggy Stardust.

Anyway...this thread title has "teenie bait" written all over it.
