So night I just did a really shitty thing.

Oh wow. My mom basically just told me I'm stupid because I said that most musicians worth listening to would still be playing music even if no one bought their albums, because they play first and foremost for themselves.

She also said it's stupid to play for yourself.

 

what's with your family always saying such bad things about you?

 

I'm so different from them in my opinions, and I don't agree with everything they say. It's just the way it works, I guess.

 

It's kinda similar for me, I wanted to do something in game design or IT etc and pretty much most of my family do jobs like mechanics, business etc.
My mom told me that playing with computers was a silly thing to do as I wouldn't get a career in them because computers aren't going to be a worthwhile career in the future... :\

Buck up mate, stick to what you believe and stick with it.

Got to say, this new job position is a blessing, not only do I get paid more now, I've only got the one job so that now I have much more free time to do the things I like doing, and everything at my work is running so smooth, got to say, this feelings is great from what I was feeling a month ago with two jobs and no social life.

So I just found out that the festival my band played at last summer, that we intended on playing again this summer, that we'd been rehearsing for several months for...isn't having any bands at this year's festival. FUCK.

 

That's why, if anything, it'll probably be relatively lucrative to follow a career in that industry.

So apparently we might be moving to Austin. They've got a "diverse" music scene there, and they're the Live Music Capital of the World, so that's a plus. But what's getting to me is that my mom's getting pissed because I'm not spending all of my time researching the city. It's not like I have much of a choice if they decide to move there. I've got no job, no friends to stay with, so I'm stuck with them. Which means I go where they go.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind Austin, but I'd like for my mom to understand that I can't spend my entire day reading about the place.

More like Facebook. They've got the rights to so much private information and embarrasing pictures they could get the whole world fired, divorced or both.
