I think I decided on alternative rock/synth rock.

 

The vocals are too loud in the verses. WAYYYYY too loud.

Other than that. EPIC.

Love the transformers/robotic breakdown part . Very NIN-influenced i'd say myself.

I'm listening to a reeaally shit youtube quality rip though. But great song anyway.

But Mike really has to quieten those vocals down. Not taking anything away from Chester's vox though.

Horrible quality. But I doubt that the vocals are much quieter in the good quality version.

 

I have the iTunes one and the vocals don't sound too loud to me. It's either the rip you're listening to, or personal preference.

I can see why you'd think that. Personally I think it's fine, but I get where you're coming from.

 

I bet in the video/movie all the Transformers will start transformering during that breakdown. I can totally picture it.

 

I think the instruments could maybe do with being a bit louder everywhere but the verses myself.

This track fit 100% the movie theme, i saw some guys comments they didn't like the track, maybe because they are thinking it will be a track that will quenshing the thirst of the 2 years abscence of LINKIN PARK NEW WORKS !
but from my point of view this is a great track, well done, and i think a video like FROM THE INSIDE video, with some scene from the TRASNFORMERS 2, it will be a great video !

i'll be honest, the very very first half-listen through, I thought to myself "shit, this isn't LP", but after hearing it repeatedly, I have yet to get annoyed of it, it's an amazing song and I can't wait for the future of LP. My brother said "yeah, it isn't anything great", but he's on a MGMT and Kids Of 88 kick right now... and my Girlfriend said the song "didn't have enough energy" for her... wtf? lol.... ahhh, it's all good, I love it!

 

I swear Linkin Park's fans are some of the pickiest people. I think the song rocks but some of you guys always has to find something wrong with a song.

 

i listened to it about 12-15 times. the melody and the singing in the chorus starts to bother me. to me, it lost a good amount of energy already. don't see a lasting appeal, a problem that occured with M2M songs, too, shortly after it came out.

 

Maybe it's just me, but it hasn't lost anything yet. But this is coming from a guy who got obsessed with a song and had it on loop in his room for roughly a year nonstop. So I guess I don't get tired of songs very easily.
