That rumor has been going around for years. DJ Exclusive did a "Dretox" mixtape of remixes featuring Dr. Dre several years ago (when the Detox album was originally supposed to come out), and one of them was a remix of Numb/Encore with vocals by Dre and Eminem added to it. People constantly mistake it for an official remix for some reason.

 

I know, but I was talking about a brand new original song.

 

I think it's because, up until 50's verse, it was completely badass.

The acapella for this song is actually from the song "Encore/Curtains Down" from the Eminem's album Encore.

...but if you think about how big he is in the music business you can actually start calling him THE EMINEM

 

Studio update: still making progress on the new album. Still working on that one song, too, ha. Things are going well. I thought I'd put up a few pictures of the guys for you to see. My favorite one is of me and Phoenix--it looks like I'm saying, "that bassline is kinda...eh...not so good." (I'm actually just talking to someone who's not in the frame)

In other news, Chester is mixing his solo album (Dead By Sunrise). I think he said Chris Lord-Alge is mixing.

amazing news. any time I hear anything about progress on new LP music, I get excited. what does he mean when he says "that one song"? something special he said a long time ago?

I was invited to speak at Art Center's commencement today. It was the first time I've spoken at a college graduation. The college also gave me an honorary degree: Doctorate of Humane Letters. For those of you who are interested, I'll try to get a video of the speech up here soon.
