I found this band as I was flicking through music video channels last night at 4am. Their video for 'Forever' was featured on the incoming section of kerrang and I quite liked it so I checked them out and I'm really feeling their music.

Some of their earlier stuff is quite heavy and, in the style of Arch Enemy, the female vocalist screams quite a bit. Their newest album 'The Dream' is alot mellower though and is like a cross between Paramore and Bullet For My Valentine. I highly recommend everyone check out the new album...not a bad song on it in my opinion.

They'll be playing at this years Give It A Name festival.

Not too bad at all, it's nice having a heavier metal band (so not Lacuna Coil) with a female vocalist other than Arch Enemy. I was disappointed they bailed on Soundwave, which was last week.

Also, Luke, I like the Paramore-Bullet for My Valentine description.

Saw them open for mudvayne. Cool show. Drums were way too low in the mix and I figured it was just the mix, but their studio stuff is like that too. Weird.

I've usually considered WoJ to be slightly more 'core than metal, but you're right, they actually did slip through my mind for some reason.

They're pretty good, though if they didn't have the female vocals they'd probably be abit generic,

But still, they're the kind of thing that is fun and not too challenging to listen to, and her vocals make a nice change from the usual metalcore style growl.

Her clean vocals are pretty solid too.

They also have to many breakdowns for their own good.

It's kind of hard usually to tell whether a screamer is a guy or a girl, so i don't really care what sex the singer is in those parts. This band has clean singing though, so that makes a difference i guess.

I'm not really a fan of this band though, by the way.
