Okay, so now that we have all of the nominations, i'm going to be posting them as a poll so that we can vote for what LPA deems the best album of all time. Unfortunately the polls are limited to 15 options, so i'm putting the nominees in groups of 15 according to genre. The top 3 from each round get put to the next round.

Also, we have 76 nominees, which means that one would have to be all alone. This wouldnt work, so i'm putting The Smashing Pumpkins album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness through because, I believe, it got the most votes. This also means that one round, we'll only have two go through. I'll do that to whatever round gets the least votes overall.

Anyway, commence with the voting for this round: Rap and Rock

EDIT: Okay, I just realized that this is more rap/rock/electronic. Basically, since Linkin Park has the most nominations for this one, they became sort of the basis of the genre. So, this is sort of bands that are related to LP. I guess. Whatever, it works.

I would gladly take that over about half this list, but no one nominated him.

Also, I just realized, there are no nominations for The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Queen, or anything like that. Come on people, where's the love for pop music?

Yeah, I knew it wouldn't too. I didn't even bother suggesting any albums.

The idea is nice though! ^^

Do multiple polls to include genres. Make it a playoff system. Then it might work better. Might take longer, but be more accurate. ;)

An issue is same fanbase factor here. Linkin Park's votes are split between three albums.

Now it's not only a fail this thread, it's an epic fail.

But the idea was nice. But still - epic fail.

I was tempted to vote for Pearl Jam's Ten, but decided against it.

You set up multiple polls kinda and put the albums into brackets (say 4 like in college bball). People vote in the brackets and then it gets smaller and smaller. Perhaps the brackets are by genre or alphabetical order (album name). That would probably help get a fairer share of albums into it.

That's what i'm doing right now...

Anyway, yeah this is pretty much an epic fail:lol:. There wasnt a lot going on here, so I was trying to do something interesting, but yeah, it didnt work too well. If enough people want to keep going with this, then i'll keep it going, but if we don't get a lot of votes, then I may just stop it all together.

wouldn't you put Alexisonfire with the hardcore bands? It's hard to compare Alexisonfire with Nas.

It's probably best to have a list of all the albums, and then you vote for two or three within a post. Only being able to vote for one each within a category would take forever. Then if you want to split it into genres you could use the top three or five from each and then have another stage where you vote again.

There could be some sort of rule implemented to limit the amount of times you can vote for an album nominated by yourself as well - perhaps you could vote for one of your albums then have to vote for two albums nominated by others or something.

I have a list of the nominations that I've tried to categorise so I can help you out if you want.

Things should be bracketed better. Have lots of simultaneous 1vs1's like Fuse had done.
