    Anyone know the origin of Figure.09 name? It isn't mentioned in the song at all...

    If I remember correctly it was a working title that just stuck. Much like A.06.

    Shinoda answered a question about that on linkinpark.com in 2003, and that's pretty much what he said. :) The Q&A section disappeared after that.

    Also, before A.06 was cut, Figure.09 would have been track 9

    Yeah, a shame, too. It would've made a great intro to the album. "Foreword" still does the job, though. :)
