If you put all this into perspective it could be a good thing. If we get enough Wemo (lol) Band's doing Sleezmo then eventually the scene will change to this sound. Pop Punk has dominated mainstream rock for far too long now, and this 80's rock/emo hybrid is a nice change. And like with any scene, quite a few great bands could come out of it. And the hardcore/metalcore shit that dominates the underground mainstream could be replaced with the Southern Metal/hardcore stuff we've got a bit of nowadays, like Every Time I Die, He Is Legend, Maylene etc. AND my long term plan: After kids realise the new scene is similar to 80's hard rock, they might get out a few of their dad's/mum's old cd's. And if they're good parents they should definitely have some Pink Floyd. And you know, maybe we could see the return of 70's art/prog rock. Hope that all made sense.
Atreyu too. And quite a few others, but just not as noticeably. Atreyu's Blow is a prime example, it even has the the cowbell going. lol.
